Gippsland East Matters

A community independent voice for Gippsland East

Victorian Legislative Assembly  ·  Saturday 28 November 2026

Grassroots. Community-powered. Independent.

Why Gippsland East needs a Community Independent

State government shapes more of our daily lives than most people realise. Roads, hospitals, schools, emergency services, housing, planning, environment: these are state responsibilities. Who represents us in Spring Street genuinely matters.

Gippsland East Matters was formed to give our community a real choice. Not another party politician bound by factional deals and distant head offices. A local person, chosen by community, accountable to community, focused on the issues that matter here.

A Community Independent Member would bring government resources to bear on community-led solutions. No party to answer to, no faction to appease, no political career to protect. Just us.

We have watched quality independent members make a real difference in other regional seats. Gippsland East deserves the same.

A Community Independent can win here

Many Victorians are fed up with major parties that fail to represent their communities.  People want practical progress on the issues they actually live with, not culture wars and political point-scoring.

We believe enough thoughtful, grounded Gippsland East residents share that view to elect a high-calibre community candidate in November.

Gippsland East Matters is a local, volunteer-powered movement with growing capacity to run a genuine grassroots campaign.  We are ready.
